While this situation was extreme, we get to experience happy, appreciative customers every day. Our work and the specific way we do it is often transformational. We get to improve the lives of our customers, and see how they react when we're done, and that feels incredible. Not every business gives you this opportunity or the chance to experience it first hand. More to the point, not every cleaning business gets to feel this. When I attended my first industry certification class, I was surprised that the first 45 minutes of class was consumed by "how to handle unhappy customers." At that point, I decided that we would do everything possible to NOT have unhappy customers, and in fact, to consistently create ecstaticly happy ones!
